Woodwind artist Greg Armstrong is comfortable in virtually any performance situation. He has appeared with the internationally acclaimed Sonora Quartet, with the Tucson and Albuquerque Symphony Orchestras, and in numerous theatre, radio, television, and film productions. Greg earned his Bachelors degree in Jazz Studies and Masters degrees in Saxophone Performance from the University of Arizona where he studied with Elizabeth Zinn Ervin, Kelland Thomas, and jazz professor Jeffrey Haskell. Greg's teaching credits include positions at the University of New Mexico and the University of Arizona. Greg is a valued adjudicator at festivals and competitions, and provides workshops and clinics throughout the Southwest. He is currently active in a variety of musical groups, including the Special Edition Jazz Orchestra, the San Diego Concert Jazz Band, The Ira Liss Big Band Jazz Machine, the San Diego Winds Concert Wind Ensemble, The Apex Trio Chamber Ensemble, and continues to perform in Arizona through Nederlander Productions and the Arizona Theater Company.
